You have found Crest Internet, the wireless Internet division of Grant County PowerNet in Moses Lake, Washington.

We started connecting people and businesses together using wireless network radios back in 1995. Our first project was linking two local medical service buildings together. In 1997, we purchased ATNET Connections, one of the major Internet Service Providers in Moses Lake, Washington and we used wireless network radios to give Samaritan Hospital high-speed Internet access through ATNET for several years. We also used wireless network radio to set up and connect a downtown Internet classroom center on Ash Street to the ATNET backbone, and later we used wireless network radios to feed to provide upstream Internet access for another Internet provider in Moses Lake, Internet Access of Moses Lake owned by Jerry Wright and Bill Wilson, who purchased upstream services from us.

Wireless network radio works and generally works well. Today, the usage of wireless communications has grown exponentially and it is common for people to have more user wireless communication ability within their own homes that we had in the 1990s. Your cell phone is a wireless network device and it is likely that your laptop computer and your tablet (iPad) also are all connecting within your home using a wireless network connection.

Wireless Internet Example

So wireless is here to stay and you need not be afraid to use it and our service to get connected to the Internet. While we primarily use it today a means to connect your home or office to the Grant County PUD’s fiber optic network backbone so that you can get broadband Internet access at your location, we, at Crest Internet, can still use it to connect other things together. Example, let us say that you have Internet in your home and you want to extend it to your farm shop building a few hundred, or perhaps even a mile or two away. Provided that we can get good line-of-sight between the two locations, we can install a wireless network radio link between the two locations and you can then access across the link. It works really well and it really isn’t very expensive when you figure it all out. Wireless is usually much more cost efficient than underground trenching two locations together.

So that is who we are and what we do. If you would like more information about installing, deploying and using wireless network solutions give us a call at (509) 766-1345. We will be happy to talk to you and answer your questions.
